Hey Everyone.... I just had this idea that after a weekend like this one I should write a report on it... so lets see what you think..
Wow wow wow... Well it's 2pm on Sunday 15th June and I've just got home from the 'office' but can I sleep? Can I hell!! KAOS is just the best... I know it's my opinion but I also know that every one of the 200+ people at the club last night had a great time... they really know how to party down at Stunners... Lee, Halo-is and Dr Moo are not only outstanding people but outstanding DJ's, and what about that 'Sister Mercy of the Perpetual Conception!?!' I ask you.. a pregnant nun DJ!!! only at Stunners eh!..
The place was rocking for nearly 12 solid hours... Great to see so many of my favourite people ... Miss C*nty... beautiful as ever expressing her love for the colour yellow in a way that only she and her hair can do... The gorgeous Dr Moooooo.. What a wild, funky, cool dude he is! Adorable! Angela who never stopped dancing, and of course Gerald... didn't even get a chance to speak to him much but great to see him there as always. Even Gloria.. or should I say Arthur, popped in to say 'Hi' and (s)he doesn't usually even like the KAOS nights... but I saw you smiling Arthur.. nothing much gets past me!
The Music was hard and fast as usual and it was great to see Curly Phil dancing like there was no tomorrow, and Pete in his wacky turquoise leather trousers! Daniel looked incredible as usual although why he wanted to hide that beautiful face under the gas mask even for a short spell is beyond me!..
I have to say that ALL the staff were INCREDIBLE... thanks guys.. you step up to the plate every time... Richard and Cassie on the bar.. amazing.. I covered Cassie for 15 mins while she had 1 of her breaks and as much as I love to be busy I think she's amazing going at such a pace for her whole shift, and how does she remain looking so damn glamorous? Amber and Leigh were flat out for hours and I can't even imagine what poor Jay'ed is going to think when she goes back there to clean the place for Monday night.. she had it all up to date by about 8am but it got totally trashed again by the end.. Sorry Jay'ed
Great to see Imogen, Celine, Shaun, Vikki, Tony (back from his travels), Will, Dave and Anni, Sid, Graham and Mark and just every godamn one of you.. you really made the place rock!! Roll on next week! FETISH ONLY (on Friday) DON'T FORGET.
And...
Didn't the place look spectacular on Friday night for the Beach Party! Shame there wasn't a bigger attendance but those who were there had a blast. The private beach area was great with the sea breeze, hammocks under the palm tree, and bathing beauties everywhere. Star made an effort with her bikini.. well done Star, lol.. and Big Al let his hair down like only bald men can. Sky did a great set on the DJing... got them all up dancing.. well done darling, are you after Phil's job? Of course Amber and myself missed part of the evening to go to the wedding of the year... not clear yet on whether the bride and bride did get down the Yellow Brick Road...
Hats off to those of you who made both nights...Shauny... fab to see you my lovely, shame Gerald and Paul missed each other but at least if you are there all the time (like myself, Phil, Jayne, Amber, Leigh, Cassie etc) we get to see all of you..
Now time to sleep as my beloved is snoring beside me.. See you at Lacy Ladies tomorrow night if you are going. Debz won't be there as she is in Thailand with Sara but she will be texting me in the evening to let us know how Sara is doing. I'm sure we all wish her well.
As Debz will not be there we will be welcoming a new rising star of the DJ curcuit DJ WILIPY! Guaranteed to blow you away, do come along and see for yourself!
Looking forward to our first Strictly Fetish Friday next Friday... hoping to see lots of old friends and new (Caroline... Charlotte!!) .. please do not turn up in anything but fetish wear as you will be turned away at the door.. if fetish is not your thing then best to save yourselves til Saturday which is one of our fab 'normal' Stunners nights..
See you all soon I hope,
Night night

oh and ps.. let me know if you want more of this next week, email me or send comments to the comments page and who knows, this could become the Official Stunners Diary so come and party at London's friendliest club and you could get a mention!
Hi again...
Well it's been another busy weekend at the Club... Friday was our first 'Strictly Fetish Friday'... Not a bad turn out.. really good to see Astrid and Matthew and of course Charlotte and Kenny, Big Al (he just can't keep away from the place!), Star and Roxy, Tara Starr and Marc and Karon who looked amazing in her tailor made pink rubber dress... and of course everyone else...
There was a great atmosphere thoughout the whole club the whole night... the new boy Peter had such a great time, got on well and really fitted in. His only grumble was that he hadn't found the club sooner, but I'm sure he will quickly become one of our regulars.. He also loved our resident guitarist down the back, particularly his rendition of Lynard Skynards 'Freebird'.
Saturday was another busy one... a 'normal' Stunners night whatever that means!.. More new people turning up which is always good to see.. one of the newbies from Friday turned up again.. obviously couldn't get enough... mind you he did enjoy the Strictly Fetish Friday, chatting to Anna for quite some time... but at least when he came back on the Saturday he didn't have to don a rubber skating skirt and t-shirt emblazened with the motto 'I'm A Naughty Girl - Spank Me!'
Michelle danced the night away as usual... although I had to alarm her somewhat when I pointed out to her that her dress had disappeared... I wondered if it was a case of the Emporor's New Clothes.. They were there.. and then they weren't... just lovely undies and stockings and sussies.... and then a bit later on they appeared again and there she was dancing as Lady Michelle... its either Lady or the Tramp... you never know how she's going to look next time you see her... but always having fun with a big smile on her face and bouncing round on the dance floor... my fluffy bunny!
It was a bit like a reunion to be honest... several people who hadn't been for some time... Chrissie was there... and Shelley who used to work with us turned up... I was chatting to Big Al at the bar and saying how good it was to see some of the old crew again and he asked me if Georgette had gone.. just at that moment she appeared from the archway heading towards us... we thought we had aquired a magical gift so we thought we would see if we could magic anyone else up... I said.. 'All we need now is Tall Steve.... and, oh... what about the Andrew Sisters.. I've missed them so much... ' but nothing happened.. no one magically appeared... so we joked about magicking up Johnny Depp, Pamela Anderson... and of course Margaret Thatcher... could just picture her in a place like Stunners.
A while later Tall Steve did actually appear!!! It didn't click to start with but our magic powers really did come to light when, at about 7a.m. who should walk in but.... only The Andrew Sisters (if you don't know who they are have a look at the gallery page) I, or should I say 'we', were absolutely blown away!!! God it was good to see those guys again... they promised me they would be back next Saturday and bring Callum along with them.. so I'm really looking forward to work next weekend! Sad to say that Johnny, Pammy and Margaret didn't show!!!
Music was a good eclectic mix as usual... who would have thought that you can stick a T-Rex in the middle of a trance set? Mad eh!... but it really works... brings new fresheness to the dance crowd... if you haven't experienced Phil's DJing yet then come along and see how it works... its really something!
Thanks to all the staff as usual... wonderful team we have there... always working hard for the cause.. and thanks to Big Al for supplying the (photo) disc of the Beach Party (last Friday) some of which will be on the gallery page.
Good to see little Minx again... and Gerald, Susie, Alessandra, Julia, Dave, Will and Tia, Ritzy, Pete and Mickey, Angela, Curly Phil and Vanya and ... well too many to mention really, but all of you!
Right.. I think that's it for now.. neck is playing up and need to rest... Hope to see you all next weekend... Friday and Saturday are normal Stunners nights... see details on events page... and don't forget its the CHILL-OUT on Sunday... We are actually starting it at 6am this time... Strictly Fetish Dress code!
See you at the weekend
Hayley x
Right... this is going to be tricky... I'm just going to have to start with a confession ... I'm really struggling to piece together the weekend.. so I'm just going to get going with it and hope it comes back to me as I go along... all I know right now is that it was a long one... and dispite the fact that Phil and I had a night off on Friday, we were there from 8pm on Saturday right through til 1am Monday..
Well at least, what with us not being there on Friday I don't have to write about it, what with this being a first hand account and all... so... Saturday.... It was busy, yup, I remember it being very busy... well over 100... a great atmosphere I recall... Sky did wonders with the music... her first time playing at peak time... Phil was thrilled with her and so were all the dancers.. she's worked really hard and got the place rocking.
Shelley came back to work for us... she just couldn't keep away... was good to see her.. and all the others who came back last week after being away for a while came back again on Saturday... Chrissie... and the wonderful Andrew Sisters.... and they bought the gorgeous Callum along with them as promised... there's a party on its own!
There was a lot of glamour there on Saturday besides Callum and the Andrew Sisters.. Jade made several costume changes as did Mickey, Sarah C had a very sparkly leotard on, Monica looked stunning as usual as did Vikki, and Anna looked fab in her wonderful fetish outfit although she did complain to Phil saying 'Phil, I'm really pissed off with you!' Phil asked... 'why's that Anna?' to which she replied, 'You've worn my feet out!' That's the sort of complaints we like to hear... the music was just so good she couldn't stop dancing!
Things got totally hectic about 6am.. the fetish crowd arrived on mass from other venues... The Chill Out was suddenly underway... fab to see Sarah and so many great and imaginative outfits... Dave and Annie saw we were struggling and got suck straight in helping out with the cloakroom... thanks so much for that guys.. was greatly appreciated.. specially as I just can't lift those heavy bags! The place was absolutely buzzing.. the last of the non fetish people left by 8am.. I think quite a few of them wanted to stay but it is Strictly Fetish, however I have a feeling that some of them may bring a change of clothes next time as they had a glimpse of what they were missing out on.
Another blast from the past turned up in the afternoon... Rubber Steve!! Great to see him... I sneaked off to the hotel round the corner to see his wife and kids for a while.. nice to get a little break sometimes.
Got back just in time for the boss, Jayne, who was going around feeding strawberries to people, some of whom were making the most of the weather in the back yard, chillin' and sunning themselves..
I was about to leave at about 10pm when Rubber Steve came back to see Phil... they had missed each other earlier. At the same time the Andrew Sisters and Callum reappeared.. oh god... how could I leave then! Had to stay another couple of hours even though I was dead on my feet, and Steve doesn't get down from Scotland very often.
Ended the night with a game of Hide and Seek... I heard that Phil was looking for me so enlisted the help of most people to warn me when he was coming and disappeared to another part of the club... I danced in the main room while he looked for me down the back, chatted to the guys in the smoking area while he looked for me up the front.. everyone was in on it except poor Phil... Still.. made him very happy when he did 'find' me in the end.. and what else can you do after being at work for 27 hours!
Right... that's it for this week... I need to sleep...
Normal Stunners weekend next week... It is London Pride next Saturday.. if you would like to be part of the Stunners' representatives please email me or come and see us on Friday and we can make plans for meeting up etc on Saturday at the club.. be lovely to have a big Stunners group this year.
August dates are now up on the events page.. No Kaos in August as usual.. but start getting those outfits ready for our ROCKY HORROR STUNNERS PARTY on Sunday 24th.... can't wait to do the Time Warp with a room full of 7ft trannies!
Love to you all
HAYLEY X
Hey guys... well we did it again didn't we.... another great weekend at Stunners... party capital of the world... what is it about this place.. it really just does happen every time.. atmosphere, gel of people, music, its just the best place to be! Its like a great gathering of people who really want to be together.. Friday was a different mix as there were some faces who live too far away too come too often, like Michelle, Carol and Charlotte, the backbone of the members who are there most of the time.. eg Big Al, Jade, Angela, Pete and Miki.. the people who come as often as they can and can't wait to come back.. eg Jill and Tanya and then of course the first timers like Naomi and Tyra who just fitted straight in.
The place was rocking... Phil got the vibe just right with the music and dear Anna was looking like she might be having words again about her feet!! Birthday girl Lola strutted her stuff.. I think she particularly liked Alice Cooper's Schools out.. May not have been the busiest of Friday's, but its not always about numbers its about mix.. and it was a good mix, a real fun, friendly, party atmosphere.
One of the things I particularly like about the venue is the way things change from room to room... you can be dancing your little tooshies off one minute in the main room and a few moments later be having a laugh or a chat with people in the smoking area.. some people really seem to like that social part of the place and spend far longer than the time it takes to smoke a fag out there (me included sometimes!).
Saturday I was rushed off my poor old aching feet as usual.. Sally looked ever so pleased to see Sian after so long... well done Sian for loosing 2.5 stone... keep up the good work... Al and Elliott seemed very impressed with her progress..
Monica was doing justice to her name sake 'Lewinski' I'm sure.. didn't see her much I know that.
There was a lovely guy there who not many people had seen before... Amber's brother.. Identical twins all but for the wig, nail varnish, short skirt etc... gave some people a shock I can tell you... He was having such a great time with Big Al.. being proper lads out, that 'Amber' never actually got to do her shift but passed her hours on to Zoe instead so that she could really have a good night out.
Good to see Hanna, she looked great as usual... Gerald danced for hours, so glad we invested in that new gigantic fan to keep the place cool.. will really help next Saturday at KAOS..
Looking forward to Friday... don't forget its the 70's disco party... time to get the flares and glitter boots out... and don't forget to practice your moves in front of the mirror 'cos we are going to have a 'Saturday Night Fever' dance competition!!! Should be a riot! Plus a 'Most Imaginative Costume' Competition.. so really go for it.. glam yourselves up to the nines and win a prize.. as if you need an excuse!
Right thats it for now..
See you party people again next week..
lots of love
HAYLEY X
God... what can I say about the 70's Disco... Having got to the club at about 6.30pm to set up and decorate the room, which, even if I say so myself, looked very 'funky 70's party', and then on top of that I also had to clean the place etc, by the time it got to 10pm I was on Morphine for the pain in my back...
Sarah Clark arrived... Looked fab in a pink, 70's sparkly mini dress and funky white platform boots... then a few more people arrived.. Big Al.. (looking really fab in his black tailored suit), Michelle.. never seen her look so classy, cream dress and jacket and all gold accessories (in comparison to her usual really way out all green or red ensambles).
Star and Roxy, Tara Starr and Mark, Gerald, Angela, Dave, Miki and Pete and a few other hard core Stunners turned up, several new people, but unfortunately not many more. Sometimes it can be quite soul destroying when you go to so much effort to put on an event and make things a bit different, and people still don't come. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a total wash out or anything but sometimes the effort just does not produce the volume of people it deserves.
On the plus side.. Curly Phil was looking good behind the bar.. first time since February, He'll be back soon I'm sure, and people were clearly having a good time in the playrooms.
Was lovely to see Caroline again.. and drool over her original Louis Vuitton handbag. Yummy.. you know where to send it when you get bored of it!
Thanks to all of you who did make it and appreciated all the hard work involved.. hopefully our Rocky Horror Party will really get a big crowd in... great excuse for really over the top trannydom!
KAOS, however, lived up to its name as usual... what an absolutely fab night that was again. Lee, Dr Mu and HaLo-is are WICKED... They get the whole place rocking so hard! Mind you, Sister Mercy looked considerably different this time, it would appear that she has had the baby and is now a country hick in denim dungerees and straw hat.. looked more like a scarecrow than a penguin!
Big Al, who usually deliberately avoids KAOS (its not for everyone) turned up to my surprise... and had a WICKED time... not only that but Gloria, also not a KAOS fan, turned up and she absolutely had a ball! These people are being converted at last, as is Phil! Angela on the other hand is more like me and looks forward to KAOS the whole month, we are going to have withdrawal symptoms waiting for September (no KAOS August)
Mind you, Angela definately made the most of it, I don't think she stopped dancing the whole night! What a star! Even Gerald was caught resting, sitting on the speaker by the big fan... I think Angela out danced you sunshine.. and you are meant to be well fit, hehe
Well obviously I could go on and on about such an amazing night, but really the best thing for you all is to just get your asses down as often as you can and be part of the great party in the friendliest club in London... Next Friday is STRICTLY FETISH, but keep abreast of what's going on on the new 'calendar' page or the 'events' page...
We have gone full circle now... one whole month in the life of Stunners from one KAOS to another... and although every night is different, every night is an experience and Stunners can be whatever you want it to be...This is just my birds eye view of things and for now I think you have heard enough from me... so I won't be updating every week, just from time to time...
DO PLEASE COME AND SEE ME AT THE CLUB... A WARM WELCOME AWAITS.
JOHNO
I'll get back to that in a min!
Well so much for giving this report a rest for a while..
Just wanted to say a quick word about this weekend....
Well to start with, I was off ill on Friday due to severe back problems which have had me laid up for the last week, but was very glad to be fit(ish) for work again on Saturday as days off are not easy to deal with as I always feel like I am missing out on something, which, quite frankly, is true! However, I do know that the Strictly Fetish Friday is not, at present, being supported effectively enough to maintain the 'Strictly' so we are having discussions regarding this as to what way to swing things.. any imput or ideas would be appreciated either by email or on the comments page.
Johno.... (sorry... I'll explain soon I promise!) SATURDAY... Great to be back, thanks to all of you who have shown concern about me poor old creaking bones... I'm feeling better I promise... Amber looked like a weight had been lifted after having her MOT this week... thank god for Michelle.. getting Amber to the various places she needed to go... things will be looking so much better once these next tricky few months are over.
Now.... JOHNO!!! There you go darling,,,, and there was you saying I never mention you and your lovely partner Farrah... Well it was quite funny really... Johno had said to me early in the evening that I never mention him, and I was out the front smoking with him when I suddenly noticed his amazing belt buckle... well anyone who knows me knows I love a bit of bling, and this belt buckle certainly had sparkle, it was a multicolour/Arora Borialis skull thing in Swarovski Crystals blah blah blah, and of course, wanting to have a closer look meant having to position my eyes/head in the general direction of that area... now any onlooker, including Phil, who happened to walk to the office may have wondered why at the same time my head is approaching Johno's groin, he was doing a pelvic thrust to make it easier for me to see said belt buckle...all perfectly innocent but was hysterically funny for the two of us (you had to be there! lol)... I did mention to Johno that it was very considerate of him to provide something so lovely for people who may have been getting more intimate with him to look at... he didn't see that as quite the compliment it was intended to be.
I was coming out the office at one point when Steve came rushing up to me saying 'We got you something... hope you like it!'.. It came back to me quickly that the last time I saw him was a few weeks previously when he had told me that he and his bf were off to Thailand and they would like to bring me back something, what would I like? Well how lovely... so I said that that was lovely of them and if they really wanted to then to bring me something typically Thai... So here was Steve saying that they had got me something and his bf was bringing it down with him later and he would let me know when he got there... well sure enough, later on, Steve came rushing up to me again saying that his bf had just arrived and explained that he had spent hours searching a Thai market to find me this gift... well, not knowing what to expect, I went with him to meet his bf, and wow... I really couldn't beleive it... they had bought me this absolutely gorgeous red and black, small, multiframed 3 dimensional 'picture' of an elephant with a golden 'carrier' on top with delicate bling on it... absolutely perfect... I showed various members of staff and some members and it took pride of place behind the bar for a while before I took it home with me when I left.... So lovely of these guys, thanks so much, I'm touched.
Well of course lots of other things happened, such as Sky did a great set on the DJing, as did Phil and Jayney Noggins of course, the usual suspects were out in force, Big Al, Star and Roxy, Lovely Tara Starr (great pink skirt!) and Marc, Lovely Gerald, who, btw, is also celebrating his birthday next week along with Amber, Big Al and Star.. and it is also my 1st anniversary of becoming manager... so lots going on and great people to share the celebrations with, do come along for that.
So, there you have it... another great night out at Stunners, lovely atmosphere and happy smiling faces as is the norm, and just a lovely vibe about the whole place, what more could you wish for.. Want to say a quick 'Hi' to lovely Richard.. thanks so much for your comments about the blog and just for being a damn fine chap to have around!
Hope to see you all next weekend... don't forget the quadruple celebration on Saturday! (oh and please let Ritz know if you can support our Club at Brighton Pride... her details are on the comments page along with her request)
Thanks guys...
Hayley xx
Hello again everyone... well obviously it's been a bit of a busy time at the club in recent weeks... so I thought I would put everyone in the picture..
A few weeks ago we were called to a meeting which involved all the clubs on the site (Unit 7, Club Red, The Whipping House etc) and Tower Hamlets Planning Department, the Local Police and the Licencing Authority... At this meeting we were told catagorically that all the clubs on the site were going to be served a Tempory Closure Notice which relates to the fact that none of the clubs have applied for Change of Use (a planning issue). In the meeting Phil did ask if it mattered that we had been there for more than 4 years (which had been something our Planning expert had allerted us to) and were told by TH Planning that this made no difference and that we would be served the TCN in time for the weekend, and would not be allowed to open while this was served (28 days). As luck would have it, the fact that we had been open (and had evidence to prove this) for more than 4 years did matter a lot as it would have been unlawful to serve a notice or to stop our business operating.
All other clubs on the site were served their TCN's and all is now very quiet on the site.. very much like the old days when we were tucked away (which is one of the reasons we chose the venue in the first place).
We have had another meeting with Tower Hamlets Planning Department about the Change of Use and were told that they are intending to serve Enforcement Orders on all the clubs including us. What this means is, while the Enforcement Order is served we will still be open for business and we have the right to appeal which we certainly will be doing. While the appeal is going on we will still be open and this could take 6 months... in the meantime, our legal representation is costing a great deal of money and without it we would stand little chance of dealing with the situation alone. Hence the Phoenix Benefit to help Jayne with the costs involved.
The Benefit kicked off at 7am, continuing on from Saturday night which was a great night... Many people came to support us and many of the staff donated their wages and their time for free. Georgette and Julia donated some lovely items for auction as did Chris, a jeweller who makes remarkable things in silver and platinum.
Dr Mu from Kaos came along to support us and got the place rocking doing a set for us, as did Phil and Debs, and many people gave very generously to the cause. The auction raised just over £200, the bar jars (for loose change on the bar) raised £55 and anonomous donations in envelopes brought the total to around £1100 which will buy us another 11 hours of legal representation.
We owe you all a great deal of gratitude and we really do appreciate all of you for supporting us at this time. We are determined to do everything we possibly can to keep the club open, however once the money runs out so does the legal help... so that 11 extra hours is vital to us...
Thank you again, so very much.. was a great day and so great to feel the support from you all... however the best way to support us is to come along to the club on Friday and Saturday nights.. we are very much looking forward to the Rocky Horror Night on Friday 22nd.
Don't forget that the site is now quiet from crowds ect and a very safe place for you all to be.
Great nights await you and we always love to see our loyal members.
See you all at the weekend
lots of love Hayley x
ps if you can help in any way or know any of the legal points please do email stunners@rock.com or telephone Phil or myself..
Well things have been going pretty well down at the club these last few weeks.. last Saturday we had record numbers which I think is due to us being the only club on the site again... the place was absolutely rocking.
This weekend we had the Rocky Horror Party... slightly panicked when I got there and tested the DVD only to find it didn't work.. but thankfully lovely Dr Mu came to the rescue and saved the day buying a new copy. So, there we all were, doing the Time Warp and having a good laugh. Photos should be in the gallery soon.. as soon as I get them.
Saturday was another great night... thanks for all your support and thank you to all of you who are still giving donations to the fund. We are not home and dry yet but it's not over til the fat lady sings and we have gagged her!
Next Friday we are having a send off for Wil and Tia as they are going travelling for 6 months (lucky buggers) so do come and say bon voyage to them.
Hi guys... well I dont usually write at this time, after a Friday night at 10 past 10 on a Saturday morning but I can't get to sleep and I was just thinking about the events of last night, so here I am, sitting with my pink laptop with 'Some Like It Hot' on the telly (sound off obviously so I can concentrate), and in the knowledge that by the time the end of the weekend comes I will have very little recollection of what happened last night what with it being one of those never ending weekends and all with the Chill Out following straight on from Saturday night.
So... well, it was Wil and Tia's Bon Voyage party last night... god I love those guys, and I so wish them joyous times to come on their travels.. what an adventure, good on you guys.. let's hope that we are still here for your return party in six months.. fingers crossed!!.. Ritzy even sacrificed her last festival of the year to be there for this one.. well we all know what Wil means to Ritz, but dont worry Ritz, like I told you, we will look after you.
Great to see some old faces (I mean that in the nicest possible way - of course). Firstly Joe, the old bouncer from way back when showed up... and then Chris and Val, Joules, pheebs, some gorgeous girls and some not so bad boys too!! Old faces and first timers mixed well as usual, just like they'd known each other for years. Its one of the funny effects you get at Stunners... there are many of them.. Curly Phil used to call it 'The Stunners Effect'
Word of warning though... PLEASE,,, when you come down do NOT park in the courtyard. The clampers show up unannounced and randomly and they dont muck about... so PLEASE.. park on the surrounding streets.. check signs but most are fine during our opening hours.
Right.. back to the plot... Tony came by... hadn't seen him since just after he got back from Thailand.. he's been a busy bunny. Had some mad conversation with him and Jeannie in the office, but then you wouldn't expect anything less really would you? Great to see Shaun, he'd been off doing his Europe thing again this summer so really fab so see him.
In some ways was a bit of a weird one.. great night, but some emotional moments... clearly Wil was emotional about not seeing Stunners for the next 6 months, and all we can do is hope like mad that we will still be here... He's put so much of himself into the building and maintenance of the place, God.. what will we do without our beloved Will?? We spoke to him and some others about plan B, incase things do go tits up. Don't worry guys, Stunners won't be going down without a fight... and of course plan B means that the Stunners name and friendly, party atmosphere will carry on even if this venue doesn't!
Sorry.. got distracted for a mo there... Jack Lemon in drag shaking his maracas at Tony Curtis.. hardly suprising when you think about it!
Anyway, this isn't meant to be a novel, and bearing in mind the length this weekend is going to be, best call it a day for the Friday part... Just one thing... was very sorry to not actually say bon voyage to Wil and Tia... didn't see them go, but they know I/we love them. Shame they won't be there for Jayne's Birthday Bash next Friday (5th), it's promising to be a good one so don't miss it!
Right... time to rest, it's now 10.55 (no I'm not a slow writer, Jayne and Phil have been chatting to me).. see you again soon... TTFN X
Well.. So much for me not being able to remember Saturday once I got to the end of Sunday.. I ended up having Saturday night off due to the levels of pain I was in... so I got to work 12 hours late after some lovely sleep at about 8.30 AM on Sunday, all nice and fresh for the Chill-out, but very sorry to have missed Sky, Tara Star and Mark and so many other regulars.. hopefully see you all next weekend, perhaps on Friday for Jayne's Birthday.
As usual a really great crowd and some fantastic outfits... Loved Dave's faux Nazi get up... absolutely fab... and as usual our very own Richard went to tremendous efforts with his 'Carry on up the Kiber' outfit... such a glamorous crowd and lots of fun.
Jayne did us proud with some lovely food... just what we needed to keep us going although the people who had been working all weekend were flagging, not surprisingly, and were glad to get home to get some well earned rest.
So, see you all again soon, hopefully this Friday for the big event!
TTFN xx
Hayley
Friday 5th September THE BOSSES BIRTHDAY BASH
Well thanks to all of you who made The Bosses Birthday such a special event.
I got to the club way in advance to put the decs up, and was joined and helped by Pete and Ritzy, the place looked very festive, and people starting to arrive in force quite early on laden with gifts and cards.
Guests of honour The Andrew Sisters and Callam arrived direct from a train from Scotland, they had come all that way just to be here for Jayne's birthday! How cool is that.. as always fab to see them.. they bring the party with them.
Jill and Tanya turned up laden with flowers, Gerald turned up.. but then he rarely stays away im glad to say. Tall Steve was there as well as many others... and now I'm kicking myself as I knew I would for not writing this on Saturday... pain has not allowed for that.. thanks to all of you who have shown me concern for that by the way.. you are all so lovely and appreciated.
Well as usual the 'trying-to-get-the-birthday-girl-in-the-right-place-for-the-cake-to- be-presented' bit was just a joke.. I lit those damn candles several times and had to blow them out before they burned right down when I was told that Jayne was coming into the club and Phil was about to make the birthday announcement!..(again!!) Finally, candles lit and mad huge sparkler firework thing lighting up the whole room, Jayne finally got the pink handbag cake I had bought her. She also got the fabulous spongey--fruity-chocolate-iced-smartie -embeded cake that Pete and Ritzy made for her... Her little face glowed as she fought to blow out the relighting candles... still a good gag!! lol, and then we finally managed to figure out how to fire the huge missile confetti launcher... the confetti from which was trodden to every corner of the club by the end of the night... glad I don't have to do the cleaning... (sorry Jay'ed honey)
Well at the end of a very busy, painful and tiring night (and fun of course) several of us went back to Jayne's to continue partying. The Andrew Sisters bought their gorgeous Spanish friend Holio with them.. how come they only know beautiful people?? And Jayne's new friend Marco came along as did Tony and Ritzy, and Geanie turned up having arrived at the club just too late! Obviously the party just went on for days... well until lunchtime anyway.. I didn't quite make it to the end.. had to go and lie down to straighten out my agonising back... god that was the worst pain I've had in some time..
So... Happy Birthday to Dear Jayne... we all love you as I'm sure you know... some pics of this event will be in gallery soon....

Well at last... I'm so sorry I haven't been doing my report for so long... as many of you know I have been in a lot of pain this year but now I'm over the worst and back on my feet..yeehaaaa!! Thanks to all of you who have shown your concern over the last 4 month, you are all wonderful and caring xx
Well obviously I can't write about everything that has happened at the club since I last wrote but we have had some amazing nights... lots of new people coming down and discovering us for the first time.. very glamorous new girls and good looking chaps who know how to treat people right.
Last weekend was unbelievable... we had the best ever Friday night.. the place was rocking, music was bang on.. fantastic mix... Phil was on top form, and Saturday, wow, what can a say about Saturday... KAOS'S 5th Birthday celebration and wow what a night... those guys blew the roof off... Halo's music is awesome, she rocks! and Choronzone and Dr Mu are so funky when they are dancing behind the DJ stand... they are all so focused on what they are doing and just get it right every time... Thanks for the CD btw Doc... it did work when I got it home on the Bose... love it, just wish it worked in the car as well then I could listen to it all the time.
Don't forget guys that the next KAOS is our joint Stunners and KAOS Christmas party on Saturday 20th December... It's going to be busy so I would recommend that you come down for a night out sometime before that weekend to pick up a flyer so you can get in cheeper (and have a great night out in the process of course) and I would strongly recommend that you get there early on the 20th as it will get to a point again where it will be one in one out, so if you are late you may have to wait for a while til someone decides to leave!
Also on Friday 19th December its our 5th Anniversary Party at this venue, so we would love to see some of the old crowd for that... why not make a weekend of it and come down both nights!!
Don't forget that if you are down before NEW YEARS EVE you can buy advance tickets for just £20.. another reason to get yourself down there this month... so come and support our Friday nights which are free before 1am to girl members.
With regard to the Planning situation, we had another meeting at the council last week which seemed pretty hopeful. One thing they sugguested to us was to get testimonials from our members saying the value and importance of Stunners to the TG community.. if you would like to do one for us please email it to us at stunners@rock.com so it can be included.. we have had some lovely ones so far, so if you would like to drop us a few lines saying what the club means to you please do, you do not have to put your name and address if you don't want to, just initials and the area you live in will be fine... thanks for that.
Anyway... I promise I will try to keep more up to date with my report now... We have had so rocking nights down here and Mondays have been fantastic too... so don't be a stranger.. come down soon and forget the credit crunch and all your woes for a night!
See you all soon

Well what a fab fanale for Kaos in 2008... not only was it our joint xmas do but also the delectable Dr Mu's birthday and also Phil's chance to prove himself to all that he really is a very talented DJ.
The evening didn't start off in the most perfect of ways.. Little did the 100's who came along know that before about 11pm we had major problems with the system which basically meant that we had no music at all!! After some time Choronzon, Dr Mu and Jayne got it sorted and thankfully the evening could go on... phew... paniced there for a bit I must say!
Wow.. was the place rocking or what?? What and incredible night.. AGAIN!!.. The most fabulous mix of people.. all happy and smiling and rocking their socks off.. Phil pulled it out the bag... Annie was dancing away and said to me 'This is the best set Phil has ever done!'.. I pointed out to her that actually its not.. Phil caters for the audience and ordinarily the music he had specially sauced for Kaos would have never worked at Stunners... A normal Stunners crowd is in to very different music to the Kaos crowd and Phil plays accordingly. My god did he get some great stuff for Kaos though.. I knew he was going to pull it off cos he had played me some stuff in the week and asked what I thought about it.. being a huge fan of Kaos and the music I knew it was going to be great.
Dr Mu, Choronzon and HaLo-Is were unbeleivable as usual.. I can see exactly why they have such a great following, world class DJ's without a doubt and not only that, they are all so bloody lovely too!! Almost didn't recognise HaLo with dark hair though.. but I'd looked up at the DJ stand cos I'd recognised the change in DJ and had to do a double take.. Sure enough it was gorgeous HaLo.. don't know where they find there material but I know Choronzon spends hours listening in record shops to find the right stuff... incredible dedication and passion and it shows.. thanks guys you are magnificent! And did anyone notice that cute little Dalmation who did a set early on.. excellent tunes but who was that masked puppy? Could it have been the same person as the heavily pregnant nun a few month back and the old straw chewing hill billy???
Just have to say that Andrea was outstanding on reception.. was her first Kaos and reception can be quite stressful at peak times.. but Andrea was cool as a cucumber, calm and collected, always smiling and polite.. a true pro! For those of you who do not know Andrea or have not been in for a while, Andrea is the one who set up Stunners at the original venue in Kingsland Road with Jayne.. she has recently come back and has become an instant hit with the staff and members alike and is a joy to have on board.. so if you remember her from the good old days do come by and say hi.. she has enjoyed catching up with some of the old crowd.
Thanks to Lee (Choronzon) for the lovely Tahitian Pearls!! Lovely! Very posh! And we all hope that Doc enjoyed his birthday as much as the rest of us did.
Just so that you know.. from next Kaos (24th January 2009) we will be doing a Kaos after party.. this will continue straight on from Kaos and anyone who wants to continue on partying can just go back to reception, pay another fiver, get a new stamp on the hand and carry on until 5 pm!
So all that's left to say is.. HAVE A WONDERFUL XMAS and don't forget that our New Years Eve Party starts at 8pm and goes on til 8am.. you can get a ticket in advance the Saturday before or pay just £30 on the door on the night (£25 for members) .. don't forget that we are not open on Friday 26th (Boxing Day) though!
See you soon

Well its been a long hard struggle over the last 10 months, and I will fill you in later, but last night was just fab... it was the celebration of the most monumental thing in the history of the club, and there have been a lot of 'things', but basically, winning the Appeal of the Enforcement Order which was placed upon us last year means that the club in its present premises now has stability and security and not only that, but it would appear that we have made history by being the first purpose built perminent club for the tg community... think about it... the other clubs use venues which are used for diffent purposes the rest of the week/month.
By winning the appeal for the Enforcement Order the Planning Permission for the Change of Use automatically goes through, but this is only for the time that Stunners is at the venue, no other club will be allowed to use the premises if Stunners goes (which it won't) as the premises will revert to the original use, and we have a guarantee for 2 years.
The Appeal Hearing was held on Tuesday 12th May, and although we felt at the time it was going 100% in our favour we were told that the decision would take 4-7 weeks, however, on Wednesday 20th, a mere unprecedented 8 days later, we got news that we had won the Appeal ,finally the cloud of uncertainty had lifted and the joy of positivity took over as we could now think forward and think of all the things we could do which had been on hold for so long for fear of plowing more money into something we could lose .. the plans for redecorating what has become over the last 10 month a progressively tatty and tired venue. We have had to sit on our hands and resist the urge to do what needs doing to our beloved club.
Of course this occasion called for a party on a grand scale.. and immediately I started emailing, texting and circulating the news on our website, TVChix and Facebook, contacting as many of our member and those who had supported us by supplying testimonials or doing what they could including showing passion and interest in the case as it progressed and proving how much the club meant to them, telling them that we were holding a Stunners Victory Party and as treasured members of the club we would love to see them there for this joyful occasion.
144 of you came to congratulate us on saving the club and expressed how overjoyed you were.. the atmosphere was electric, there was a great buzz in the air and happy, cheerful, celebratory faces shared the evening with the friends that had become so familiar and important to them over the time that they had become part of our great family.
Thank you all so much for all your kind words and expressions of gratitude for how we had not given up on the club and how we had battled on through many trials, meetings, phonecalls, and some extremely low points where we really thought that it was never going to happen. But battle we did, and rightly we were victorious.
I could go into detail about the Hearing itself, but if certain officials read it it would no doubt cause embarassement and may cause some kind of adverse backlash in the future for making fools of them, so I won't do that, but I will just say that at the Hearing, being passionate about the club as I am, and knowing what is needed in the best interest of our members, I could support every comment I made about why we needed this venue rather than another in a more open and busy location, why we needed to keep our operating hours as they have been for the past 5 years or so, how none of the complaints relating to Cable Street Studios were related to us as there were none before the other clubs arrived and have been none since they have left, and many many more different points, as you can imagine, over the course of the 3 hour hearing... some of which were utterly obsurd including one of the Proposed Conditions of us being granted being that we 'seal up the windows'! I was happy to tell the judge that we don't have any windows.. he was quite surprised to hear this and checked with me.. 'You don't have windows?'... 'No.. none!' so he says to the planning guy...'They don't have windows!' to which the reply came back... 'Well you may want to put one in!' (how bizarre!) so I said... 'Well we don't!' 'Well you may want to in the future!' 'Well we won't!' I state catagorically... why in hells name would we want to go to all the trouble of putting a window in.. I must say it had never been anything we had even thought of! Bizarre.
Anyway, you get the gist of it, and it was a great success, a fab day out for me personally feeling so strongly that I was in the right and could support everything I said knowing that I was fighting on so many peoples behalfs (or is it behalves!! don't know!)
So, finally you get the report that you deserve, along with an apology for not writing one for so long but now hopefully you understand the presure and depression that has been hanging over us like a big dark cloud, and many of you know how much pain I have been in with my back problems for which I am finally on the waiting list for what they are calling 'the operation' but as I understand it it is a not very pleasant series of 4 injections around the 2 discs in my spine which should stop the pain once they take effect.... wow.. I can't even imagine having no pain, I can't wait!
So there you have it... come and enjoy the club we have fought so hard for, and please please support Friday nights as well as Saturdays... You girls can get in for free before 1 if you are members don't forget. We will be holding another benefit at some point to help Jayne with the insurmountable costs which she has had to bare on our behalf(halves!?), so please, if you can in these tricky financial times, please put what you can in the jar on the bar or make a donation of whatever you can spare just to ease the burden of costs in whatever way you can to ease the pressure from Jayne's poor shoulders.
In the reasonably near future we will be getting on with the revamp (we have fab plans for that I'm telling you) and once we have syncronized all the volunteers and set a date we can all make to get things done, we will be announcing the date of a relaunch party, tickets for which will be sold in advance for £20 to those of you who want to be at the grand unvailing of the new look Stunners. Champagne included.. so that will be a bit of an exclusive Stunners party night! Please let me know if you may be interested in having a ticket for that so I can make sure you are not forgotten nearer the time.
Anyway, that's it for now and I will try and become more regular with my reports again... hopefully a lot of positive things will start to happen now and I will have loads of fun stuff to tell you all about. So see you all soon I hope..
Lots of love
Hayley

About bloody time too I hear you cry.. and yes you are right, its been too long, but obviously the end of and old year and the beginning of a new is a good time to update you all, and at this moment I can say that we are feeling positive for 2010. This time last year was a very depressing time for us. We didn't know how long the club would be here for due to all the problems with the council etc, and I was saying to Jayne the other day, that when we put up the new yearly planner for 2009, I remember looking down to December and saying that Christmas and New Year was a bit of a pain with Christmas Day landing on a Friday etc and adding, at that time, that we may not have to worry about it because we may not even be here by then! So here we are, another year on with our shiney new 2010 yearly planner on the wall with a much more positive outlook, although, like many businesses in the last year we have taken a bit of a beating due to the recession, we are still here, still serving the TG community, and still putting on a good show particularly on Saturday nights. Fridays have been a struggle although we are not entirely sure why, perhaps the recession is to blame, but hopefully they will pick up again soon, having said that, although the numbers may be lower than Frdays a while back, people still say to us that they have had a wonderful night, and some people prefer the ambience of a more select and intimate night. Lacy Ladies on Monday nights have been doing very well thanks to the great efforts of Debs Essex and of course Kaos is still a fab night out thanks to the hard work and enthusiasm of Lee and Dr Mu who have a dedicated following of hundreds.
2009 also bought some new ventures such as our BDSM club TOPPERS on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month and some Fridays. Miss G Vious (Mistress Gloria) and the Countess De Jagar have been stedily building their following and give people a warm welcome when they arrive and warm butt cheeks for when they leave.
Staff wise we have welcomed Jenni, Antonia and John, continued to have the sterling service of our security team Sky, Amir and Terry, and of course our bar and reception staff of Richard, Cassie, Georgette and Zoe, and of course said goodbye to Phil.
But where would we be but for our faithful members? People who come down practically every week to spend time in the club that is their second home. Monica, Gerald, Sarah C, Chrissie Darling, Julia, Pants Paul, Jade, and so many many more who have supported the club through good times and bad, for those who can't make it every week but show their faces when they can, Rubber Robert (this ones for you btw, you always tell me off for not doing my report..good to see you NYE looking sexy and smiley as ever) and Francine, Celine, Adele, Craig and many many more besides.
So there you have it, not quite the same as my usual reports, refective due to the time of year, 2009 has gone and in the words or Vinnie Jones (Big Chris) in Lock Stock 'Is been emotional!' Lets hope that 2010 will be a smoother ride and we look forward to seeing your familiar faces down here enjoying the atmosphere, friendships and fun, and look forward to welcoming new people looking for our unique family where all are welcome as long as they know how to respect others and have fun.
Here's to 2010!
